Outcomes you can expect

Confidence With Behavior

When you understand what may be underneath a child’s behavior, you can respond with more calm, clarity, and confidence. I help parents, educators, and school communities look beyond “acting out” and begin seeing behavior as communication.

My workshops offer a compassionate, practical way to understand children’s needs, stress responses, developmental stages, and emotional signals so adults feel more equipped in the moments that matter most.

Tools For Big Feelings

Big feelings, tough transitions, meltdowns, shutdowns, and challenging moments are part of childhood. That does not mean you have to feel stuck, helpless, or like you are negotiating with a tiny emotional tornado in shoes.

I share realistic tools parents and educators can use right away to support emotional regulation, reduce power struggles, and help children move through difficult moments with connection and structure.

Stronger Relationships

Children feel safer, learn better, and grow more confidently when the adults around them are connected, consistent, and emotionally present. Strong relationships are not just “nice to have.” They are the foundation for trust, cooperation, and healthy development.

Through engaging discussion and practical examples, I help parents, teachers, and school teams build stronger parent-child, teacher-child, and student relationships that support both emotional growth and everyday success.

Brain-based Support

Adolescent brains are still growing, which means behavior, learning, attention, and emotional regulation are all deeply connected. When you understand how the brain responds to stress, connection, safety, and support, your responses become more effective.

I translate brain-based concepts into practical strategies that make sense in real life, helping adults support regulation, learning, development, and healthier responses at home, in the classroom, and throughout the school community.

Workshop Topics

Attachment & Parent-Child Relationships

Secure relationships help children feel safe enough to explore, learn, make mistakes, and come back for comfort when the world feels too big. In this workshop, I help parents better understand connection, attachment needs, emotional safety, and how small everyday moments can strengthen the parent-child bond.

Positive Classroom Discipline

Positive discipline is not about letting children “get away with it.” It is about teaching skills while protecting connection, structure, and trust.

Together, we explore ways to:

  • Respond to behavior with calm and consistency
  • Set limits without shame or fear
  • Support cooperation through connection
  • Understand what children may be communicating through behavior

The goal is to help classrooms feel more peaceful, predictable, and emotionally safe for both children and teachers.

Understanding Child Development

Children are not tiny adults with bad scheduling skills. Their brains, bodies, emotions, and social skills are still under construction.

This workshop helps parents and educators better understand what is developmentally expected at different ages, why children may struggle with certain behaviors, and how adult expectations can become more effective when they match where a child actually is developmentally.

Separation Anxiety in Preschoolers

Separation anxiety is a normal part of early childhood, but that does not mean drop-off has to feel like a daily emotional hostage negotiation.

I help parents and preschool teams understand why separation can feel so hard for young children and how predictable routines, warm transitions, confident goodbyes, and supportive language can help children build trust, confidence, and independence over time.

Anxiety in Children: Worry Bugs & Brave Steps

Anxiety can show up as clinginess, stomachaches, irritability, avoidance, perfectionism, sleep struggles, or sudden meltdowns over things that seem small from the outside.

In this workshop, I help adults recognize the many ways worry can appear in children and offer practical tools for helping kids name their fears, calm their bodies, take brave steps, and feel supported without letting anxiety run the whole show.

Little Brains, Big Feelings

Young children have big emotions, fast reactions, and brains that are still learning how to slow down, think clearly, and recover after stress.

This topic focuses on:

  • Why children become overwhelmed
  • How stress affects behavior and learning
  • What regulation really means
  • How adults can co-regulate before expecting self-control

When adults understand what is happening in a child’s brain and body, big feelings become easier to support with compassion and practical strategies.

Mindfulness in Parenting

Mindfulness in parenting is about learning how to pause, notice, breathe, and respond instead of reacting from stress, frustration, or pure survival mode.

I offer simple, realistic mindfulness tools that help parents become more aware of their own nervous systems, create calmer interactions with their children and build more intentional moments of connection throughout the day.

The Power of Play Therapy

Play is a child’s natural language, and toys are often the words they use before they can explain what they feel.

In this presentation, I help parents, educators, and school communities understand how play therapy supports emotional expression, healing, confidence, problem-solving, and connection. Participants will learn why play can be so meaningful for children and how it can reveal needs that may be hard to express through words alone.

Parenting with Connection

Connection does not mean being permissive, and limits do not have to damage the relationship. Children need both warmth and boundaries.

This workshop helps parents learn how to stay emotionally connected while setting clear expectations, responding to misbehavior, and guiding children through difficult moments with more confidence and less guilt.

From Sensory Challenges to Sensory-Smart Classrooms

Sensory needs can affect attention, behavior, transitions, social interaction, and emotional regulation in powerful ways.

This workshop explores how classrooms can become more sensory-smart through:

  • Better understanding of sensory seeking and sensory sensitivity
  • Simple environmental adjustments
  • Movement and calming strategies
  • Supportive responses to overstimulation
  • Practical tools for transitions and group activities

When sensory needs are understood instead of dismissed, children are better able to participate, learn, and feel successful.

Anxiety in Gifted Children

Gifted children may think deeply, feel intensely, notice more, worry more, and place enormous pressure on themselves, sometimes all before breakfast because apparently childhood needed bonus complexity.

I help parents and educators understand the unique ways anxiety can show up in gifted children, including perfectionism, fear of failure, emotional intensity, avoidance, and frustration when their abilities and coping skills do not develop at the same pace. This workshop offers strategies that support both their strengths and their emotional needs.
